Sweet Potato Taco Bites

I like to keep things simple, so when it comes to party snacks and appetizers, I’m always looking for something quick and easy that still tastes delicious.
That’s what makes Breton Sweet Potato Artisanal Crackers so ideal. Made with ancient grains like quinoa and rye, and with sweet potato pieces baked right in, their delicious flavor and light, crispy texture make them incredibly easy to use to create a perfect appetizer for any occasion.
I liked the idea of taking a classic– cheese and crackers– and adding a heartier, party-friendly twist by turning them into taco bites. The black beans add a little protein, the salsa provides a spicy kick, and they combine beautifully with the crackers for a crowd-pleasing bite-sized taco that’s sure to disappear quickly at your next gathering.
- Breton Artisanal Sweet Potato and Ancient Grains Crackers
- 1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained, rinsed, and patted dry
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 (8 oz.) block cheddar cheese, sliced
- Mash the black beans together with the cumin.
- Top each cracker with the black bean mixture.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the beans, and add a spoonful of salsa to the top.
- Serve immediately.
