Spinach Ranch Pizza

There’s just something about pizza.

It’s one of those ultimate, genius foods: dough and cheese are magical, and makeΒ the perfect base to play with. There are so many different flavor combinations and variations to try, I never get sick of it.

It’s also incredible that it’s something my entire family can agree on– and there aren’t many foods that fit that bill. We’re a group with a wide-range of tastes, preferences, and dietary needs. I’m the vegetarian of the group, but there’s also a mostly-vegetarian, a couple of meat-lovers, and someone who doesn’t willingly touch a vegetable. πŸ˜‰ Some of us are health-conscious, and some of us couldn’t care less. But we all love pizza.

This pizza is meatless for me, itΒ has aΒ wholesome ingredient list, and it sneaks some veggies in for our reluctant eater– our bases areΒ covered. It’s so easy to make that itΒ has definitely become one of my fallback meals. We need food that’s quick and simple and that everyone will eat? Make the spinach ranch pizza!

Spinach Ranch Pizza

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. pizza dough
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz. fresh spinach
  • Β½ cup light ranch or ranch-style dressing
  • 1Β½-2 cups mozzarella or mozzarella-style cheese shreds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450Β° and grease a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet, sautΓ© the onion and garlic until the onion is cooked and translucent, then add the spinach and cook until it has wilted.
  3. Spread the pizza dough onto the baking sheet, then cover evenly with the ranch dressing.
  4. Layer the onions, garlic, and spinach over the dressing, then sprinkle the cheese on top.
  5. Bake the pizza for 18-20 minutes, or until the cheese is browned and bubbly.

This recipe is vegan with the appropriate dressing and cheese shreds, and gluten-free with the appropriate pizza dough.

I’m not a ranch kind of a girl buuuuuuuut, this pizza makes a compelling case for me to get on the ranch bandwagon. Thanks for linking up and sharing this deliciousness!

So great to have a quick and easy dinner idea at this busy time of year. Most kids love Ranch dressing, so I can see that everybody would gobble it down. Plus, it’s pizza:) (visiting from #BragAboutIt)

This looks fabulous! I adored Ranch dressing as a kid, but for whatever reason, I no longer like it as an actual salad dressing, even though I still like the flavor. I love the idea of using it on pizza!

This looks amazing! I love spinach (in just about any recipe) so this is awesome. The best part is that my kiddos don’t so I might get away with not having to share my leftovers on this. Lol! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us at Merry Monday this week!

Ranch dressing on pizza? Ok, you have my interest. It’s not something I would have thought of trying, but I am intrigued. I remember growing up thinking that the canned mushrooms that the pizza place we went to totally counted as my helping of veggies for the day. I like to load it up with veggies now, but I love this lightly seasoned with spinach version for some pickier eaters.
Thanks so much for sharing at Healthy Vegan Fridays! I’m pinning & sharing =)
