Quick, simple, and flavorful, this peanut butter black bean dip needs only 5 ingredients to make, and comes together in under 10 minutes!
Let’s talk about black beans.
There are so many nutrients packed into these little guys! Fiber, protein, iron, calcium, folate, magnesium, zinc… I could go on. They’re good for your heart and your bones, they promote healthy digestion, and they keep you feeling full. Long story short: black beans are powerhouses.
And they’re practically magical. You can use black beans in everything from soup to brownies, so there are many ways to get more of them into your diet.
I paired them with the protein and healthy fat of peanut butter to make this creamy and delightful dip. Lime juice and soy sauce add even more flavor, and it’s all rounded off with the spiciness of hot sauce. It’s a healthy and delicious snack, and it couldn’t be simpler to make– just dump everything into a food processor and go! I make this recipe in my Ninja (which I adore and highly recommend), and the hardest thing about it is not eating it directly from the bowl.
- 1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ½-1 teaspoon hot sauce
- Drain and rinse your black beans.
- Add everything into the bowl of your food processor and blend to desired smoothness.
For an allergy-friendly alternative, the peanut butter can be substituted with another nut or seed butter.
